Ice Breaker (March 23-24, 2013)

The Ice Breaker Regatta held at CYC Belmont literally began with the race committee breaking the ¼” ice in order for us to start sailing on Saturday.  Conditions were great for sailing, but chilly at 32º.  The forecast for Sunday was supposed to be snowing and breezy, but it turned out to be a nice day with medium breeze.  Loyola fielded three teams with most of the JV and Varsity members being able to compete.  Loyola finished in 6^th, 9^th and 10^th place overall. 

Culver Invite (September 22-23, 2012)

On September 22^nd Loyola headed to Culver Invite with a total of 23 sailors. Everyone packed into cars and headed to Indiana. The weekend was full of fun sailing!  The first day everyone sailed well and we held our own in tough conditions. On the second day, though the weather was not agreeing with us, we still got some great sailing in. Mitchell Lee and Julianna Lee were at the top of the fleet in A the whole weekend taking home 1^st place in A Fleet.

Halloween Regatta (October 27-28, 2012)

At the Halloween regatta in Lake Forest, Loyola dominated. We brought 29 sailors to Lake Forest, having 2 teams in the Varsity division. The first day was windy and cold but everyone toughed it out and sailed well. At the end of the day Loyola was in 2^nd overall. Unfortunately we were unable to sail on the second day due to extreme wind. Loyola finished placing second in both the JV and Varsity placing. Pat Griffin and Cat Yardley finished 2^nd in the JV division. Mitchell Lee, RJ Porter, Annie Conway, and Clare Perry ended up 2^nd in Varsity.
