Culver

Loyola Academy's Christopher Lynch took third place in the B division after two races. Loyola sailor Alex Post won the first three races of the Radial division and went on to take first place in the class. He was followed by Tommy Holmberg, who placed second.

Racing did not occur during day two do to lack of breeze, so more importantly than sailing were the team's no breeze-shenanigans. Loyola Academy, Evanston, and bits of Grosse Ile fit 23 people on a laser and, after, a 420. This feat has been placed into the Guinness book of world records and we openly challenge anyone to attempt it.

Kickoff Classic

Sheridan Shore's Kickoff Classic Regatta was cancelled due to the realization that there had already been a regatta it was not kicking anything off. Also, incredible flooded caused the water treatment facility in the Wilmette Harbor to open it's locks, sending powerful curent through the harbor, sweeping several moored boats out to sea. The conditions made it impossible to sail. Said Loyola sailor Davis"Johnny Tsunami" Porter, "I like totally wish I was surfing right now."

Grosse Ile Regatta

Loyola started off on the road to the perfect season in Grosse Ile, Michigan sending 13 sailors and 3 teams: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Tough competition filled the A fleet but Alex Post and Juliann Sargis started off with consistant finishes followed by a four race streak of wins. Their final set included two ninth place finishes putting them in second place in A. Tommy Holmberg and Ciara Mchugh took first place in the B division followed closely by Davis Porter and Chris Lynch of Loyola silver. Loyola Gold (Post, Sargis, Holmberg, McHugh, Kennedy) took first place with a thirty point lead over second place Loyola Silver (Kinzel, Evans, Porter, Lynch).

The A division was won by Tim Zacher, a Culver Academy sailor and  member of the renowned Team Death Speed along with Kevin Kennedy, Alex Post, Tommy Holmberg and Brady Savage.
