Midwinters West

Two Loyola Academy sailors, cousins Clifford and Davis Porter, traveled this weekend to San Diego, CA to compete in the Laser Midwinters West Regatta. In the radial division, Davis Porter took 31st place out of 55 boats. In the full rig division, Clifford took 18th place out of 68 boats while his older brother Vincent, a Loyola sailing alumni, took 7th place.

Ice Breaker Regatta

Loyola took second at the Ice Breaker Regatta at Chicago Yacht Club this weekend. First place went to ISM with New Trier finishing in third. Tommy Holmberg and Kevin Kennedy placed third in the A division while John Kinzel, Marcus Jackson, and Alex Post took first place in the B division.

Pre-Season Meetings

We will have a brief information meeting March 4 after school in the student center for new sailors. Please encourage students to attend. Also, the mandatory registration meeting for all sailors will be held March 6 at 7:00PM in the Marillac room. Please bring a parent. 

New Coach

Today it was confirmed that former coach Zac Hernandez will be returning this season.
